Root Barrier Installation
Tree roots follow moisture — and in DFW's clay-heavy soil, that often means they migrate toward foundations, sidewalks, driveways, and underground utilities. A root barrier is a physical or chemical boundary installed in the soil to redirect root growth away from structures before costly damage occurs.
We install high-density polyethylene (HDPE) root barriers at the appropriate depth for your tree species and soil conditions. This lets you keep the tree you love while protecting the infrastructure around it.
Is a root barrier right for your property?
Root barriers work best when installed proactively — before visible damage appears. If you have mature trees within 10–15 feet of a foundation, driveway, or utility line, a barrier is worth considering.
